The cube uses a custom fixed point 3-D engine for image generation. The Hypnocube 4x4x4 is composed of 64 tri-colored LED's arranged in a cubical lattice. It runs up to 64 three color LED's for a total of 192 individually programable LED"s, with 16 color levels per color channel. So this will equate to about 4,096 colors. The cube can be bought assembled, or the company will send everything needed to develop it the way he or she chooses. The way in which cube translates images are called: visualization, transition, and timing. The cube can be linked to a computer by using a USB. On the Hypnocube website there are a few sourcecodes that can be used to program the cube, or the programmer can alter to develop and add their own image to generate their own code.
